Health Systems & Policy Research Lab

Conducting rigorous analysis and translating evidence to inform decision-making in health care and health policy.

What is HSPR?

The University of Maryland School of Public Health's Health Systems and Policy Research (HSPR) Lab focuses on solving problems in our domestic and global health systems through rigorous research, evaluation, policy analysis, and quality improvement activities.

Project Spotlight

The HSPR Lab is currently supporting a multi-site study called Prevent COVID U, sponsored by NIAID and administered by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center at the University of Washington. We aim to enroll community members aged 18-26 in a study to receive the Moderna vaccine and track the effectiveness of the vaccine in limiting disease spread. If you want to sign up, visit preventcovidu.org!

The Team:

Our lab is comprised of faculty and students who conduct health policy, organizations, quality improvement and health disparities research designed to influence decisions and improve health.
